New year, new Bunny to a new Home

Today I sent Belle, the Happy Happy Joy Joy Amigurumi Bunny to her new home where a newly arrived baby girl awaits!

Of course and her pet carrot Crunch.

Standing at 25cm tall from tip of her ears to her toes and 10cm wide across her tummy, Belle is extremely huggable. She is basically a bigger version of Mixy and Vinnie who are only half the size but just as charming of course… it's just that a bigger version is safer, you know, not as easily eaten by the tiny human...

  
Belle is very soft because she is made entirely from 100% merino wool. The felt pieces are also 100% wool. The matching fabric ear pieces and the perle embroidery thread are 100% cotton so with the machine washable yarn, Belle can be thrown (if REALLY necessary) in the washer though must be in a wash bag like a delicate item.

Ah so Crunch the pet carrot… Well, Belle won't go anywhere without it. It's her pet! Crunch is made from 100% cotton yarn in very shiny bright colours!

Those big ears come in handy, right?

Cheeky and very happy, Belle is a perfect friend to grow up with.

Percy Piggy and Niko Kitty Skinny Jeans

Meet Percy Piggy and Niko Kitty Skinny Jeans - my latest custom order for a full of spunk eight year old girl...

These two are polar opposite yet they are the best of mates. Percy is diligent, honest and well… nerdy and Niko is cheeky, fun, a bit moody and down right full of attitude.

Niko: It's not me, it's Percy! chuckle chuckle chuckle

He is always playing jokes on Percy but when it comes down to it, no one really believes him!

They are going to a fun family and all I say to them is "keep on eye on that Niko!"

Niko

Height: 20cm approx

Loves: fun and practical jokes. When he grows up, he is doing creative STUFF, none of this 9-5 business!

Style: skinny jeans and short sleeves jumper, messenger bag is essential (must be woollen!)

Best mate: Percy and as much as he likes to tease his friend, he is fiercely loyal to him.

Arms in the air like I just don't care!

 

Percy

Height: 25cm approx

Loves: books & numbers! When he grows up, he wants to be someone who makes a positive difference to people.

Style: buttoned cardi and loafers (felted please...)

Best mate: Niko… just cause he has a good heart!

 

Of course it was Niko whose photos shoot was bombed by the Creative Director… trouble makers always attract each other!

A life long friend

Meet Bluedog VII! A few months ago, a good friend approached me about making a replica of her favourite softie Bluedog, one she has had since she was baby and has cherished all her life... although he has been patched up a few times over the years. Instantly I felt very honoured to be able to do that for her.

There have been a few draft sketches and couple of mock ups as I wanted to make sure that I get him right!

I have enjoyed every bit of this experience. I have learned a lot through this process, particularly honing in on some of the techniques I hadn't been really good at.

Most importantly though, I made someone happy x

I am so excited! and I just can't hide it! I know I know I know I know...

Woohoos! I just sold my first custom order! Yep I did! TONIGHT! I did! The look on my customer's face was priceless... she actually squealed with excitement and then I squealed too...

Meet MISS PANDA LOVE! She has gone to her new home with this lovely girl who bought Bo the Bear with a preppy bowtie. They will be mates!

As Mr Burns would say: EGGCELLENT!
