Rainbow Bluedog

Meet Rainbow Bluedog, a relative of Bluedog VII!

I used 3/4 of the fat quarter by Wild Cotton Fabric I picked up at the Stitches & Craft Show this year.

Rainbow here has his own amigurumi bone which he will never let it out of his sight.

The eyes are 100% wool felt in bright aqua colour.

He is a special request by the owner of Bluedog VII for her little nephew''s upcoming birthday and I can't wait until he receives him!

There is nothing more happier than sandy paw prints...

Sydney has really dished out the best weather in this October long weekend and it would be wrong not to take advantage of it!

We took Sally to our favourite dogs friendly beach, Rowland Reserves in Bayview, situated in the northern beaches. It was mid morning and the place was already crowded. I should have taken a movie cause you can hear all the happy dog voices before we even got out of the car!

Here is Terry copying Sally dancing in the water...

A little drink stop after dancing in the water...

Here is Sally carrying her own toy - isn't she just clever?? albeit for 2 minutes...

Sandy paws! There is nothing happier than sandy paw prints on your legs and shorts and bags and glasses...

Oh hello Barry... or is it Winston?

Where to boss?

Sally: Will she just stop with the camera already??

Well, will she?

Alright, guess she has had enough... falling asleep standing up!

Soon as we drove out of the car park...

It's a hectic life being a dog...

Back with more stitchy fun tomorrow...

Hola!!

Hola from Fitch! You don't have to be a chihuahua to wear a sombrero right?

Well, he is wearing it anyway and it suits him... I think

And I reckon he will be asking for a cactus and a guitar next!

Until next time... Adiós stitchy friends!

Trendy Bear Bears and friends

These guys are trendy dudes! Monty and Bertie won't leave the house without their accessories!

... cause I've got one hand in my pocket, and the other one is giving the peace sign...

Both Monty and Bertie are part of a collection of amigurumi designs I have been working on like Archie the cheeky kitten. In this group, there is also a carefree puppy named Fitch who just wants to take off and run!

Together we have a collection of amigurumi based on the same core pattern which I hope to write up soon.

On that note, I am going to sign off to enjoy the beautiful weather we have in Sydney this weekend!

Where did May go?

Can someone tell me where has the month of May gone? I mean I can account for every day, I didn't lose time, that I knew of, but how can a whole month flew by without one single blog post being written?

I did stuff, lots of it! Since we are still in May, I figured I haven't lost it completely!  Here is a quick recap:

A relaxing weekend at a friend's place by the beach and hung out with a thieving kookaburra! This sneaky kookaburra managed to snatch a sausage from my friend's hand! This photo was taken before the "incident"!

Then I had my birthday... yep still in the 30s, just... but let's not dwell on that! Hung out with my two favourites by day and dinner out with my beloved by night - so blessed!

Then we had my sister in law and our nephew visited the following weekend. We went to the Million Paws Walk on the Sunday too!

And the weekend just gone? We caught up with friends, did things around the house and a visit to the Fabric-a-brac market in Newtown! I am so glad to have visited, great variety, the people were so nice and I just loved the community feel. There is something fun and exciting about digging in someone's sewing box and finding treasures like vintage embroidery threads!

These are just snippets of what I have been up to. I haven't done as much crafting as I would like but I am working on a couple of projects/ custom designs... more on them soon!!

Morris the (smart) dog

Morris is the newest member of the Lunar Zodiac animals family I have been creating this year.  Morris is extremely loyal, smart and a trusty member of the group. He also loves to dress nice.

Until next time...
